Tax dollars up in smoke
Flint Township paid five employees double time for ten hours to make 9,600 fliers? At a cost of $2,100? Has no one in that office heard of Kinko's? I'd have stood at my copier for half that (and provided the paper). And then they didn't even use the fliers...they burned them. And Linda Barber wonders why township residents feel they pay too much tax?

Erroneous assumptions? The only assumption I made (and proved) was a waste of taxpayer money. I apologize for singling out Linda Barber. I should have referenced the entire administration. I must also state that you entirely missed my point. It wasn't the fiscal irresponsibility of the Supervisor. It was only partly the bonfire. It was more the idea that the taxpayers should pay 5 employees double time to work a holiday performing a task that, not only proved to be a waste of time and effort, but could have been contracted out for a few hundred dollars. I will compliment you, though, on the lack of accountability and the speed with which you absolved yourself of any responsibility.
